went to mt's place to collect my 1.5 bikinis..lols..y 1.5? cos it's 1 set plus one bikini top..the bottom oos..irritating..oh wells..anw, before that i was in meritus mandarain for dinner n drinks..uncle kelvin invited us for dinner..he was also the one who treated us to pan pacific jap buffet meal the other time..this time i didnt exactly took pictures of the food cos abit paiseh thou it's in a room to ourselves..it big..big enough to hold 2 tables..oh yes, we had chinese food today..at the 35th floor of the hotel..think it's called 'pine court'..anw, if i heard right, it's about $70 per pax..was a total of 13 of us for dinner..dinner was delicious..it's a 8 course meal..was actually full by the 2nd dish, but the food was so great i finished every item on the menu!oh yes, the menu printed on the table is only meant for us! was printed private dinner and the date '29th november 2007'..nice..=Dthe plates n stuffs were pretty!! the plate was made in japan, tea saucer made in india, tea cup made in england etc..cool eh? hahas..had free appetizers..it's a really damn small portion, but was delicious! damn wish i could have had more..lols..but after starting the 8 course dinner at just the 2nd course i felt full alr..anw, first up is the cold dish..guess what we had..lobster n crab! hahas..nice starter eh?chinese food is usually shared in the middle of the table right?this time, the waitress brought the plate of food in and served each dish into equal portions (sometimes with extra plate of food)2nd dish was shark fins soup..it's not like the shark fins soup u get outside u know..the amount of shark fin is like omg..think about 70-80% of the soup is made up of shark fin!!there's abalone n crab in the soup as well!!as you know some likes to add vinegar n pepper into the sharks fin soup right? there u dont have to add it in yourself..the waitress will come to you to ask u if you want any of the two and then pour in for you! hahas..anw, yes as i said earlier, i was really v full by then, thought that i'd skip some stuffs that came after, but boy was i wrong..once i tasted it, i kept going..lols..the third dish was damn good..wasabi prawns!!! the prawn is like damn BIG!! omg..had a hard time trying to eat it as gracefully as possible..was such an idiot, cos they provided us with not only chopsticks n spoon, there was a fork and a knife too!! but by the time i realised that i should have used the fork n knife, i had finished my prawn..sigh..dumb me..anw, fourth dish is fish! not very sure what fish it was but was not bad..cant stand having to get rid of the bones manually..hahas..after the fish was duck..'secret recipe' duck, or so they printed on the menu..6th was vegetables, beancurd and scallop..know what? even I ate the vegetables!!! amazing eh?hahahas..anw, then the 7th dish was noodles..just like wedding dinners, the 2nd last dish is noodles right? i usually dont eat those noodles, but this time round, the noodles were so good i finished my plate of it!last but not least was the dessert..it was so cute!!! i had to take a picture! hahas..it was smoking as it was served to us..hahas..there's dry ice placed in the container below where the dessert was placed..it's very good dining experience..was just a tad bit bored by the small talks..ugh..you know how i dislike small talks..anw, after dinner we made our way to the 38th floor lounge for drinks..i had singapore sling, mum had pink lady, dad had mojito, uncle kelvin had nth cos he's gonna drive..hahas then uncle kelvin's 2nd son derrick had lychee martini along with aunt rebecca n uncle clement.uncle kelvin's wife had double baileys irsh cream on the rocks, while their eldest son went off after dinner..uncle glen had magarita and aunt irene had something non-alcoholic..uncle clement's son who was only 15 also had a mocktail..he had shirley temple if i'm not wrong..each alcoholic drink costed about 25 bucks while the non-alcoholic ones costed about $12 each..oh yes! the lychee martini was so cute!!!it's served in a teapot along with a shot glass containing a toothpick with 2 lychees through it..we, or rather they continued talking till about 11.30 before we decided to call it a day..if i can ever remember to post pictures, i'd post them..hahas..
